Zignites Chat

WhatsApp order notifications and a floating chat widget for WooCommerce. Works with Twilio or the WhatsApp Cloud API, using your own business number.

FREEv1.0.0

Submitted to the WordPress.org plugin directory and awaiting review.

Why it exists

Email order confirmations get ignored. WhatsApp messages get opened, usually within minutes.

Zignites Chat plugs WhatsApp into the moments that matter: when an order is placed, when a customer has a question, when they need a quick update. You bring your own WhatsApp Business credentials through Twilio or the Meta Cloud API, so messages go out under your business number rather than a third-party relay, and deliverability, pricing and compliance stay in your hands.

Automatic WhatsApp order notifications on processing and completed

About Zignites Chat

You bring your own WhatsApp Business credentials (Twilio or Meta Cloud API), so messages go out under your business number — not a third-party relay. Deliverability, pricing, and compliance stay in your hands.

What you get:

  • Automatic order notifications — the moment an order moves to processing or completed, the customer receives a WhatsApp message. Fully customisable template with merge tags like {name}, {order_id}, {total}, and {currency_symbol}.
  • Manual send from the order screen — a WhatsApp button on every WooCommerce order lets you reach out with a single click. Useful for one-off updates, shipping news, or support follow-ups.
  • Floating chatbot widget — a bubble appears on every page of your store. Define your FAQ rules as JSON (returns, shipping, tracking) and the bot answers instantly.
  • Gutenberg blocks — drop a Chatbot or WhatsApp CTA Button block into any page or post.
  • Opt-out and suppression list — customers who reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE are added to a permanent block-list via a secured REST webhook, with Twilio HMAC-SHA1 and Meta HMAC-SHA256 signature verification. Admins can also add numbers manually.
  • Test mode — log outgoing messages to a local file instead of sending them, so you can try the plugin without spending WhatsApp credits.
  • Privacy-first — built-in WordPress data exporter and eraser integrations honour GDPR personal-data requests out of the box.

Who it is for:

  • WooCommerce store owners who want higher open rates than email
  • Stores that lose time to repetitive FAQs and want a self-serve chat widget
  • Businesses that want a native WhatsApp integration rather than wa.me links scattered across the theme

Frequently asked questions

Do I need WooCommerce?

Yes. Zignites Chat self-deactivates if WooCommerce is not active.

Do you provide the WhatsApp number?

No, you bring your own through Twilio or Meta. That keeps deliverability and pricing under your control.

Will customers be charged for messages?

No. WhatsApp messaging fees are paid by you to your provider. Customers receive messages like any normal WhatsApp message.

Can I test before paying for WhatsApp credits?

Yes. Enable test mode and messages are logged to a local file instead of sent.

Is the chatbot widget customisable?

The welcome message and FAQ rules, yes. Bubble colour, icon, multi-agent routing and GPT fallback are part of Zignites Chat Pro.

Is it GDPR compliant?

It registers data exporter and eraser handlers with WordPress, so personal-data export and erasure requests are honoured. Your own compliance obligations around consent and messaging still apply.
