We only collect information you choose to give us. When you submit our contact form or subscribe to updates, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We also collect basic, non-identifying analytics data (such as pages visited and general location) to understand how the site is used.

Free tools

Our free tools, such as the WordPress Plugin Risk Report, need no account and ask for no personal details. When you run a scan we store the findings together with a one-way hash of the address you entered, so that scanning the same address again within a day returns the stored report instead of requesting the site a second time. We also store a salted one-way hash of your IP address, which is used only to enforce the per-visitor limit on how many scans can be run. Neither the address you entered nor your IP address is stored in a readable form.

Scan results are private to the person who ran them. A report becomes publicly readable only if you press the button that publishes it, which also makes the scanned domain visible on that page; you can make it private again from the same panel at any time.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with trusted service providers who help us operate the site (for example, our hosting and form-processing providers), and only to the extent needed to deliver those services.

Data retention

We keep your information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described here or to meet legal requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
